Database is everywhere whether you are aware of it or not. The search results from Google, the list of products in Amazon and Walmart, the weather updates you get on your phone, the emails, the chats, your SMS... you name it, it is all from a database.

Database is such a huge part of the IT industry that you would want to be a part of it one way or another. If you have other knowledge like web development, you will be the rock star in the industry.
